b. Two cards are drawn at random from a full pack of 52 cards. Find the probability that they are both aces, if the first cards is (i) replaced (ii) not replaced)

Q.6: (a) The weights of 1000 students of a college are normally distributed with mean 68.5Kg and standard deviation 2.7Kg. If 200 random samples of 25 students each, are obtained from this population, find the expected mean and standard deviation of the sampling distribution of means if sampling distribution are done (i) with replacement (ii) without replacement.

b. In how many samples would you expect to find mean between 67.9Kg and 69.2Kg.

Q.7:   (a)   The records of a certain hospital showed the birth of 723 males and 617 females in a certain week. Do these figures conform the hypothesis, that sexes are born in equal proportions. Use α = 0.02.

(b)        Do the following data present sufficient evidence to indicate a difference in the mean achievement for the four teaching techniques? Use α = 0.025.
