Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MBZUAI scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field of study from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent (for the MSc program)
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field of study from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent and show doctoral degree appropriateness or have completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in STEM field of study at accredited university with minimum CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent (for the PhD program)
- Have English proficiency proven by TOEFL iBT (minimum 90), IELTS (minimum 6.5), or EmSAT certifications (minimum 1550) certificate that is not taken more than 2 years ago (except for EmSAT must not be older than 18 months)
- Have Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with a minimum score of 3.0 in Analytical Writing, 150 in Quantitative Reasoning, and 150 in Verbal Reasoning (this is mandatory for PhD applicants that only have a bachelor degree but optional for MSc applicants and Ph.D. applicants with bachelor and master degree)
Duration of Scholarship
The MBZUAI scholarship is awarded for the full duration of the program, as long as the awardee maintains good academic results and obeys all of the MBZUAI rules.
